  • 2020 Field Marketing Services & Enrollment Timeline
    • Americas Field Marketing provides best-in-class marketing services to meet hotel’s business needs. Enhancements for 2020 will provide benefits for participating hotels, including driving increased performance, simplifying Field Marketing structure, and increasing service options and flexibility for hotels.
    • Key dates for 2020 enrollments include:
      • Hotels currently participating or interested in enrolling in Field Marketing should complete the Participation Inquiry Form by Oct. 15 and approve their enrollment by Oct. 31
      • Currently participating hotels that do not wish to renew services for 2020 must actively opt-out by Oct. 1 at 11:59 p.m. ET; hotels can contact their Field Marketing Account Manager for opt-out and deactivation guidance

  • RMAS Enrollment

Opt-In Deadline for Airport Shuttle Tracking

Airport Shuttle Tracking allows guests to use the Marriott Bonvoy App to view real-time shuttle locations and wait times on arrival and departure, enabling them to better plan their transportation to and from the hotel. All airport hotels with fixed route, complimentary shuttle service are encouraged to opt-in, by Sept. 13, for the Airport Shuttle tracking deployment in Q3-Q4.

GM Certification for OFF-PEAK AND PEAK RATES Due

GMs must submit the Activation Certification Form included with the Land-It tasklist as confirmation that the hotel has completed all tasks required for successful program implementation. General Managers should check the following as part of the certification process: 

  • Hotel Leadership Team and Front Office Associates have completed the Loyalty
  • Category and Redemption Levels training module OR are scheduled to complete it no later than 15 Sep 2019
  • Updated training resources for Leading Loyalty, Loyalty – Reimbursements, and Loyalty – Exploring Member Benefits have been reviewed by impacted associates
  • Front Office and Revenue Management teams are knowledgeable on program details and prepared to answer member questions

Upgrade to Windows 10 and Office 2016

Effective Sep. 30, associates using a Marriott-imaged PC or tablet running the Windows 7 Operating System (including a MAC virtual machine) that has not yet been upgraded to Windows 10, will be blocked from the Marriott network shortly after the Sep. 30 deadline.

Additionally, associates that are using a Marriott-provided email (@marriott.com or @brand.com) and have not upgraded to Office 2016 will lose Outlook access from their desktop to Marriott email.

U.S. Only | Complete Chip and Pin  Device Ordering and Property Information Survey by Oct. 4

As part of pre-deployment, GMs must complete the Device Ordering and Property Information Survey by Oct. 4. On Aug. 28 GMs received a direct email with login information and details to complete the survey. Hotels also received a Land-It tasklist with the link to the survey and additional steps to complete as part of pre-deployment.

The Marriott Awards of Excellence were established to recognize the “best of the best” each year for outstanding customer service, corporate citizenship, associate wellbeing or diversity and inclusion efforts. Use the online process to nominate for the following awards:
