Sertifi eAuthorize Now a Brand Standard


Marriott International partnered with Sertifi to offer a safe and secure third-party payment management tool to hotels. Sertifi utilizes a zero-dollar authorization at the time of payment to ensure that the credit card in use is valid prior to it being entered into a hotel’s property management system. This tool can be used by Events, Finance, Front Office, Group Housing, and Reservations associates on property to facilitate third-party receipt payment forms.

The cost of Sertifi is included as part of the Program Services Fund (PSF), and as such, the tool is a brand standard. Sertifi must be used to securely and electronically manage the sending and receiving of third-party credit card authorizations. The use of alternative third-party payment management tools carry the risk of not being able to implement new features/operational processes developed for Sertifi, or future integration with other Marriott platforms.

As a reminder, associates which need access to Sertifi must have an EID and a unique email address (shared email addresses are not permitted). Additionally, every associate must enroll in two-step verification, as this will be used each time an associate logs onto Sertifi.
