Action Required for Annual Revenue Based Fee Audit (RBFA) Process: Designate Administrator(s) for Access to P&L Submission Tool

Identified Franchise Management Company finance and main contacts received the request below via an email from the Marriott Revenue Services Audit Team on Jan. 27.

Franchise Management Companies | As outlined in the hotel franchise agreement, the Marriott Revenue Services Audit team performs an annual Revenue Based Fee Audit (RBFA) and will soon begin collecting P&L (Income and Expense Statement) submissions as part of this process.  The P&L submission process has changed for the 2019 RBFA period and will now utilize a secured data management software, called Quick Base, eliminating the use of email for submission of financial statements.

Quick Base provides a streamlined approach for management companies and their designated Administrator(s) and/or Submitter(s), and offers:

  • A central repository for automated notifications and two-way communication;
  • Electronic upload of financial information into a secured database;
  • Real-time reporting and dashboard visuals on audit progression

Action Required

By Feb. 10, Franchise Management Companies must identify Administrator(s) who will be responsible for assigning and maintaining users and uploading P&L statements within Quick Base. Finance and main contacts were asked to designate an administrator by sending an email to the Revenue Services Audit Team with Management Company Name, Administrator Name, Title, Phone Number, Email Address and Marriott EID.

Administrators will be copied on all notifications and escalations from the Audit Team and will have access to submit financial statements at the property level. Please note:

  • All Administrators must have a Marriott Enterprise ID (EID). If an Administrator you wish to designate does not have an EID, use this link to request one.
  • If the Audit Team does not receive this information by Feb. 10, the identified finance contact for your Franchise Management Company will be automatically assigned to the Administrator role.

Once Administrators are granted access to the tool, they will have the ability to set up Submitters, who will have access to submit financial statements at the assigned property level. This role will act as primary contact if further information is needed. Up to two (2) users per property can be identified as Submitters.

For additional information or questions regarding this process, please contact the Marriott Revenue Services Audit Team.
