Luxury Meetings and Events Strategy
Information, including brand-specific launch webinar registration, is being shared with hotels via the Feb. 10 version of the Weekly Update.
JW Marriott, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, The Ritz-Carlton, and W Hotels Owners & Franchise Management Companies | A Luxury Meetings and Events Strategy has been developed including Luxury Meetings and Events Guiding Principles. A distinct Meetings and Events positioning was developed for each brand to authentically bring each brand’s experience to life in the context of a meeting or event. This new strategy is only for luxury brands including JW Marriott, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, The Ritz-Carlton, and W Hotels.
To support the implementation, hotels globally will be provided with the following resources:
- Comprehensive brand-specific eLearning for all Meetings and Events leaders
- Look Books – three for each brand covering Coffee Breaks, Buffets, and Beverages
- A Catering Menu Template for each brand
- Creativity Toolkit with exercises to establish a creative mindset
The expectation for luxury hotels is that all Meetings and Events leaders will complete the eLearning and implement the new strategy using the implementation resources. An ask in the Land-It task list is for property coaches (e.g., Director of Event Management, Director of Event Planning, Banquet Director, or Director of Hotel Operations) to provide the EIDs of leaders of the disciplines who impact meetings and special events (e.g., Director/Manager of Event Operations, Banquet Director/Manager, Meetings & Special Events Director/Manager, Director/Manager of Catering Sales, Director of Operations). These leaders will go through the training. The General Manager will be asked to certify that these leaders completed the training within a 90-day period.
There is no cost to hotels. Visit MGS for more information.
