The GroupSync Platform (also known as Groups360) New Terms & FastPay Enrollment

As communicated in August 2019, Marriott made a strategic investment in the GroupSyncTM technology platform to respond to meeting planner needs in a way that supports our objective to deliver profitable revenue to hotels. On April 1, 2020, hotels will begin participating in an updated commercial structure.
As an investor, Marriott International negotiated discounted terms for all hotels that choose to do business with GroupSync. Today, GroupSync offers three primary business segments: Lead Generation, Meetings Advisory, and Property Marketing. Both Lead Generation and Meetings Advisory are sourcing products for which properties will pay for any business that books and actualizes. Marriott is piloting Property Marketing opportunities through the platform in Q1 and will share results and recommendations in Q2.
Commerical Terms
The contract terms for each business segment go into effect April 1, 2020. All details on payment terms and conditions can be found on MGS.
Preferred Partners
Marriott supports the centralized payment processing for several preferred partners and is adding GroupSync to the list preferred partners. We are leveraging FastPay to administer the advance and final commission payments on your hotel’s behalf. As such, we encourage you to review the program requirements and benefits. Fast Pay
A key component of participating in FastPay is the required opt-in to all partnership agreements. The terms require advance payments for any leads accepted through either sourcing channel. As an alternate, hotels can process this advance payment.
FastPay provides efficiencies in the payment processing for properties and for our partners. It is available to all hotels at no incremental cost. As we increase preferred partners, we want to ensure you are aware of services available to assist with prompt payments to our partners. For more details on the benefits of FastPay, visit MGS.
