Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management Updates

Work Anywhere with Marriott Bonvoy™
Work Anywhere with Marriott Bonvoy™ is a collection of optional hotel packages designed to capture those customers looking for an alternative to working from home. These packages are intended to show how Marriott properties can provide a range of offerings that accommodate both work and escape. There will be three product offerings within the Work Anywhere umbrella, two of which are now available to hotels:

  • Work Anywhere Stay Pass: Overnight package geared towards individuals who want a short escape from the routine of working from home; early check-in and late check out included.
  • Work Anywhere Play Pass: Resort-only offer targeted for guests looking to combine work and leisure by staying at a resort and taking full advantage of resort activities.

It is recommended that hotels who will offer Stay Pass or Play Pass take action by Oct. 2 to take advantage of potential PR and Marketing during Global Member Week. However, hotels can load the rates whenever resources allow. Review details to opt-in.

Prepare for Marketing Support Changes and Secure New Services

As of September 25, 2020, Field Marketing Shared Service will no longer provide dedicated account management support to hotels.  To prepare for the change in support, currently participating hotels should review the steps outlined in this direct message sent on Sept. 15.

Additional resources include:

  • Future Marketing Support Options Frequently Asked Questions
  • For more information on the future marketing support options: Register for the webinar on 22 at 11 a.m. ET or view the Sept. 16 recording.
  • Marketing Recovery Toolkit (U.S.CAN) for offers and demand generation strategies. All offers have been extended for booking through Dec. 31 and stays through April 4, 2021.

One Yield Premium Shops: Review Details and Take Action Prior to Oct. 1 Annual Opt-In/Opt-Out Deadline
If no updates are necessary to your current plan, no action is required. While Standard Shops are the default setting for the majority of hotels, there are two options for rate shop enhancements within One Yield:

  • Premium I Shops provides rate shops updated three times per week versus one time per week and increases custom TravelClick shop allocation to 1,750. The 2021 cost is $20 per month (20% decrease) or $35 per month (30% decrease) for Resort/Convention/Complex hotels.
  • Premium II Shops calculates optimal rates for stay dates beyond the standard RPO 90-day window to 330 days once a week. The 2021 cost is $35 per month (20% decrease).

Premium Shops are recommended for hotels in dynamic markets with more frequent competitor rate changes or for hotels with a longer booking window. Hotels should analyze their specific market to determine if Premium I and/or Premium II shops may be beneficial.

For more detailed information, view the Retail Pricing Optimizer (RPO) – Premium Shops – Additional Shops for RPO Reference Guide and/or Retail Pricing Optimizer (RPO) – RPO Pricing Beyond 90 Days Overview and Job Aid. Then opt in or opt out via IDentity Center. To learn more, visit the Rate 360 MGS page.
