U.S. ONLY | Action Required in MarRFP by Feb. 22 to be Considered for PwC Business
PwC continues to be one of the largest purchasers of travel-related services and has made changes to their scoring procedure for 2021. Starting on April 1, in order for hotels to remain as preferred, a cancellation policy of 6 p.m. day of arrival will be needed. Hotels risk being removed from their online booking tool, so hotels are encouraged to consult with their franchise management company prior to responding to this updated RFP. This requirement will be reviewed quarterly and updated communication will happen for Q3 2021 (July 1 start) in mid to late May. Update cancellation policy based on your leadership’s guidance in the RATE tab under Current Rates in MarRFP. If this policy is already 6 p.m., no action is required.

Review and update Revised Addendum questions. If your hotel does not update the addendum questions, your hotel will be declined in MarRFP.

Learn more about PwC’s updates to their scoring procedures on MGS or register for an optional office hours session for PwC on Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. ET.

Deadline for Entering Year End 2020 Information In MESH/SRO is Feb. 19
Data from MESH and the SRO Tracker is fed directly into EPIC and MarRFP to answer sustainability questions during the RFP season. If fields are incomplete in EPIC, customers will not receive accurate information and there is the potential of properties being declined from preferred meetings, events and transient programs. MESH can also help properties understand their utility usage and identify opportunities to cut costs. Ensure all year-end 2020 energy, water and waste data and all sustainability initiatives (e.g., food & beverage, housekeeping) are up-to-date and complete in MESH and the SRO Tracker so this information can be pulled into EPIC. This will be the final opportunity to enter year-end 2020 sustainability information before the SRO Tracker is temporarily shut down for updates.
