2022 MarRFP BT Pricing Season Update + Best Practices

  • Majority of accounts are agreeing to Rollover
    • Hotels should ensure their 2021 bid information matches their 2022 bid offer.
  • Emphasis on Sustainability, Cleanliness, Duty of Care, ADA & Vpay information
    • Hotels should review MarRFP Self-Audit Reports and EPIC to ensure this information is complete and accurate.
    • Hotels should ensure MESH and the SRO Tracker are complete.
  • Enhanced Price Protection & Auditing For Extended Stay Hotels
    • LOS tiers must match the parent rate mirror LOS tiers defined on the MarRFP Standard Screen to ensure the enhanced price protection is applied and auditing works properly.
  • Influence of TMC Consultants For Centrally Priced Accounts
    • Hotels should not respond to Third Party Direct Bids and questions should be directed to the Global Account Leader.
  • Strategic Account Process & Plan (SAPP)
    • Hotels should read SAPPs to obtain account information.
  • Courtesy Rates
    • Non-preferred hotels can utilize courtesy rates (recommended to be NLRA to accounts who have not accepted them into their program if desired).
  • Awareness of the U.S./CAN Account Sales Preferred Business Program (MPB)
    • Participating Mid-Market Accounts will be loaded with a 5% dynamic offer in MarRFP.
      • Primary preferred rollover hotels from 2021 or newly requested hotels will receive an email solicitation in MarRFP once the account has officially launched their RFP.
      • Remaining hotels will be automatically loaded with a 5% dynamic offer and accepted. Hotels should not adjust the dynamic offer. Sales will audit periodically and will adjust to align with the program standards.
