Capital Asset Planning and Execution (CAPE)

CAPE is comprised of owners, franchisees and leaders from various Marriott disciplines (e.g., Product Integrity, Global Design, Global Asset Management, Finance, Franchise Vice Presidents and Account Executives).

The cross-functional group is focused on several key areas, each with the objective of driving brand equity and preference while considering an owner’s return on investment as it relates to renovations and Property Improvement Plans (PIPs). These important focus areas are:

  1. Allowing renovation extensions based on hotel GSS performance
  2. Reducing the escrow gap by decreasing the cost of cyclical renovations
  3. Providing best practices in order to protect revenue during renovations and optimize revenue post-renovations
