December Monthly Recap | Former Starwood-Branded Hotels

Franchise Management Companies | Moving forward, we will be providing a monthly recap of the key changes shared with – and tasks asked of – hotels. We appreciate your support in ensuring your hotels remain informed and engaged throughout this process.

SUMMARY OF THIS MONTH’S ACTIVITIES:

GMs and Change Champions at former Starwood-branded hotels continue to receive weekly emails and have the opportunity to participate in weekly Check-In calls, which are held each Tuesday.

SUMMARY OF THIS MONTH’S KEY MESSAGES:

CHANGES TO THE GEI AND BRAND HEALTH PROGRAMS
One global quality and guest experience framework across our combined portfolio is necessary to ensure brand health and guest loyalty. Over 2017 and 2018, we will be integrating Marriott’s global quality and Starwood’s GEI and Brand Health programs. Learn more about these changes and the timeline.

EXPEDIA CONTRACT MIGRATION
Please review the November 29: New Expedia Contract Rollout memo for an overview of the Contract Terms, Financial and Operational Considerations, and Next Steps. This memo has been shared with GMs as well as Operations, Finance, and Sales & Revenue Management Hotel Leaders.

STARVOICE RETIRING JANUARY 30, 2017
As Marriott International prepares to transition all Managed by Marriott former Starwood properties onto our global Engagement Survey, StarVoice will be retired on Jan. 30, 2017. In preparation for this change, franchised properties that have previously participated in StarVoice are encouraged to take the below actions:

  • NOW – JAN. 30, 2017: Download StarVoice reports.
  • JAN. 30, 2017:
    • StarVoice reporting portal and action planning tools will be deactivated. Download any historical reports or action plans that are needed as this information will not be available after Jan. 30, 2017.
    • StarVoice Help Desk will be deactivated. Send StarVoice-related questions to myHR Connection.

Franchise partners in North America, Puerto Rico and USVI have the opportunity to participate in an engagement survey through Talent Point, a network of optional HR tools that provide solutions to our franchise community.
