December Monthly Recap | Marriott-Branded Hotels


Franchise Management Companies | As previously communicated to Franchise Management Company Change Champions, we have kicked off efforts to integrate Marriott + Starwood’s processes and systems. With this shift to focus on deployment, former Starwood-branded hotels continue with a cadence of weekly emails and Check-In calls.

We want to ensure all hotels continue to receive support related to the integration. With this in mind, we delivered our monthly Change Champion email to all other hotels on December 1, which included a few informational items for review. The next monthly email will be delivered to properties on January 5.

Note: beginning in 2017, monthly recaps will be distributed via the mi360 RUNDOWN instead of being sent via direct email to Franchise Management Company Change Champions. SUMMARY OF THIS MONTH’S ACTIVITIES + LEARNINGS:

GMs and Change Champions received a “Month Ahead” email on December 1. This email provided a few informational updates regarding the plans for integrating former Starwood-branded hotels into the Marriott International portfolio.

Note: there was a Monthly Call scheduled for December 16, which was cancelled as there was no time-sensitive content to share with Marriott-branded hotels.


SUMMARY OF THIS MONTH’S KEY MESSAGES:

GLOBAL QUALITY | Over 2017 and 2018 we will be integrating Marriott’s global quality and Starwood’s Guest Experience Index (GEI) and Brand Health programs, starting with the implementation of guestVoice to all Starwood hotels globally. Very little will be changing for Marriott brands.
