Four Points Design Updates
Four Points Owners & Franchisees | As part of Marriott’s continued effort to improve guest perception and owner preference, the Four Points brand will be moving forward with implementing the 2016 release of the Vintage Modern design foundation and guest room & corridor design. Four Points’ design foundation is focused on comfort, authenticity, honesty of materials, local influences and an informal feel; where timeless classics meet modern details. The guest room mixes vintage with modern and includes timeless design pieces.
The City View public space design aligns with the Vintage Modern design foundation and is currently available for project implementation. In 2017, the public space design will be refreshed to be more closely aligned with the design direction established in the Vintage Modern guest room. The new design is scheduled to be released in January 2018.
Below are the guidelines for Four Points hotels with renovations due in 2017:
- If the FF&E has already been ordered, proceed with the renovation as scheduled.
- If the Property is contractually obligated under a Property Improvement plan, proceed with the work as scheduled. It is recommended that you partner with the Marriott Global Design team during this process. For next steps, contact Carlota Tulloch at Carlota.Tulloch@marriott.com.
- If the hotel is required to replace case goods in the guest rooms, proceed with the renovation with the new Vintage Modern guest room & corridor design as scheduled. For the public space, proceed with a complete renovation with the current City View design as scheduled. Public space custom development following the Vintage Modern design foundation is an alternate solution and will require submittal to Marriott for approval.
- If the hotel is required to complete a soft goods renovation only, Marriott is proactively granting a one-year extension to these hotels. In this case, hotels should plan to begin their renovation with the complete Vintage Modern design for guest room, corridors and public space in 2018. All Four Points hotels due for only a soft goods renovation should have their renovation underway no later than July 1, 2018.
