SUMMARY OF THIS MONTH’S ACTIVITIES
GMs and Change Champions at former Starwood-branded hotels continue to receive weekly emails and have the opportunity to participate in Check-In calls, which are held on Tuesdays. Email change.champions@marriott.com with any questions. A Full Service (FS) Franchise Engagement webinar was held on June 15, and will be followed by a Marriott Select Brands (MSB) Engagement webinar on June 29.
SUMMARY OF THIS MONTH’S KEY MESSAGES:
- Marriott Accountability Program Update | Accountability to GSS ITRec thresholds and the 48-hour response standard will begin July 2017. GSS ITRec thresholds are now available for former Starwood brands.
- Review 48-Hour Cancellation Policy Standard | A new cancellation policy went into effect on June 15 for all brands in the Americas. The new policy will change the minimum standard for the cancellation deadline to 48 hours prior to arrival.
- Corporate Pricing & MarRFP Updates | As a reminder, all MarRFP training modules should be marked “Complete” in Development Center, and associates should have completed the online form to request MarRFP access.
- Complete Actions Steps to Prepare for Special Corporate (SC) Pricing and Budget Season | Visit the 2018 Pricing Season Platform Page to review key policy, process, and technology changes that should be incorporated into the hotel’s pricing strategy.
- Explore Discount Now Available to Friends and Family Globally | Effective June 17, friends & family globally can access the Explore discount program at all brands (excluding Design Hotels and Vistana Properties).
Complete Q2 Global Food Safety Audit (GFSA)| All hotels are reminded to download and manually complete the Q2 GFSA. Upon completion, manual records should be stored for future audits. Ensure to also mark this task as “Complete” in Land-It. - U.S. Only: Prepare for SPG Mobile Check-in/Check-Out | SPG Mobile Check-In/Check-Out kick-off June 19. SPG Mobile enables guests to tell us what time they are arriving, select applicable preferences, receive a notification when their room is ready, and pick up key packets upon arrival.
- U.S. Only: Development Center Retired June 15 | Development Center content, including Service Culture and Masterclass Training, will now be available in myLearning.
- Canada Only: MyLearning will Replace Development Center | Development Center will be retired on August 15, 2017. All franchise associates whose property Access Administrator has created their EID prior to July 14 will receive access to myLearning on July 21.
