SUMMARY OF THIS MONTH’S ACTIVITIES

Bringing The Loyalty Mindset To Life At Your Hotel | To bring the Loyalty Mindset to life, we are elevating the Loyalty focus around the world at hotels starting in October. SPG Champions should attend a Loyalty Mindset Kickoff Webinar the week of Aug. 28 to learn how to excite and engage their staff.

Bridge to MGS Migration Complete | Resources from Bridge were successfully migrated to the “Bridge Intranet Resources” section of Marriott Global Source (MGS). For more information, review the “Bridge Intranet Resources” Quick Reference Guide on MGS.

Brand Standard Audits For Group 1 Hotels Have Begun | BSAs for Group 1 hotels are underway; Group 1 hotels should expect to receive an unannounced audit between now and Dec.31.

Mobile Key Lock Standard Update
|SPG Keyless is a brand standard at W, Aloft, and Element brands and deployment to these hotels will be complete in 2017. For additional information about the Lock Standard, review the Mobile Key Lock Background (PDF) and Mobile Key Lock FAQs (PDF).

Prepare For Hotel Tonight Deactivation | Per Marriott’s channel standards, Hotel Tonight is not considered a certified channel. Hotels that are connected to Hotel Tonight GDS will have their rate code programs centrally deactivated in HPP and the GDS connection will be deactivated as of Sept. 1.

Third-Party Photo Distribution | Distribution of SPG hotel photography to third-party sales channels and online travel sites will transition to Leonardo Worldwide. To learn more, read the Third-Party Photo Distribution Memo.

SPG Property Collateral & Signage Guide And SPG Champion Guide | Review the SPG Property Collateral & Signage Guide for an overview of the SPG collateral and signage used at  hotels and instructions for ordering through SPG.com/supplies.

SPG Check-In/Check-Out U.S. Full Launch | This program  was launched  back in July to all SPG hotels (excluding Design Hotels, hotels with SPG Keyless, and Vistana). Mobile Check-In/Check-Out is a members-only benefit which supports Marriott’s Book Direct strategy and provides an expedited check-in experience.  

SPG-Participating Brands: Update GRST Contact Information In Valhalla | As the integration efforts continue, Marriott wants to ensure critical communications reach necessary Revenue Management team members. Update Valhalla with the preferred “GRST (Global Rate Support Team) Contact”. Read more (StarwoodONE ID required) about the necessary steps to update the Valhalla Portal.

Third-Party Platform Integration Announcement |  As of Aug. 23, third-party eChannels Lanyon and Cvent merged all hotels and brands across the Marriott International portfolio under the Marriott International chain on their platforms. Details, including impacts, FAQs and customer talking points, are available on MGS.

New Referral Fee And Business Transient (BT) Booking Cost Summary | To support your team’s 2018 Pricing Season efforts, we recently posted a new resource that summarizes group referral fees associated with each sales channels. The resource also includes information about BT booking costs that will be introduced in 2018 for SPG hotels.
