October Monthly Integration Recap | SPG Hotels


Franchise Management Companies | Moving forward, we will continue to provide a monthly recap of the key changes shared with – and tasks asked of – SPG branded hotels related to the integration. We appreciate your support in ensuring your hotels remain informed and engaged throughout this process.

GMs and Change Champions at SPG hotels, to continue receiving the weekly email content that applies to you, you will need to create a profile in The Check-In and subscribe to receive the Weekly Update email. If you have not already done so, follow the steps below to subscribe: 

  1. Click here to go to The Check-In.  
  2. If you are not taken directly to your profile, click on your name in the upper right hand corner of The Check-In. 
  3. Select all of the brand(s) and discipline(s) applicable to you, and your region 
  4. Turn “on” the “Subscribe to Weekly Update” button  
  5. Add your preferred email if applicable, and click save.  

Continue to participate in the Check-in calls, which are held Tuesdays at 1pm ET.  Questions: send email change.champions@marriott.com.

Explore More Rates Available Nov. 20, 2017 – Jan. 15, 2018 | Beginning Nov. 1, associates, including owners and franchise employees, can reserve the Explore More rate online using code MM4 in the Corporate/Promotional box on www.marriott.com for Marriott Rewards properties, or via  www.starwoodhotels.com/exploreMM4.  For the first time, SPG Hotels will also participate in this promotional program.

Celebrate Rewards Coaches and Drive Enrollment | As part of the Live Loyalty Campaign, hotels should elevate and recognize the role of the Marriott Rewards Coach on property and assign coaches in Land-it. Review the optional best practices for elevating Rewards Coaches and driving enrollments.

EPIC Land-It Tasks List was Pushed to your Hotel |  Select a coach and request access to EPIC to be able to maintain content within the tool. FAQs are available on The Platform and MGS. Email  epic.support@marriott.com with any questions.

2018 Business Transient Strategy, Valhalla Update | 2018 GRST BT Rate Loading webinar is now available. Ensure revenue managers review the recorded webinar explaining the rate loading process and how to correctly configure your BT rates in Valhalla.

Review Guest Relocation Procedures | When relocating a guest is unavoidable, hotels must follow the guidelines outlined in the Guest Relocation procedures and the global Guest Relocation Policy (Walking Guests) (OPS-FRO-169) Standard.

Brand Standard Audits Change Log Resources Available | Several BSA questions have been updated since practice audits began in August. To ensure your hotel is up to date, filter by brand and review the updated change log located on the Global Quality Resources Page.

SPG Keyless Wave 5 Kicking Off | Properties that  are scheduled for Wave 5 of SPG Keyless deployment should have received a kickoff communication, and are recommended to take action for a successful deployment.

 

Review Q4 Game Plans | GMs and their teams should continue to review their brand-specific Game Plan for the quarter’s key actions, important reminders, and know which webinars to attend.
