Upcoming Update for Windows 10 Enterprise Users
As previously communicated, Marriott has recently launched Windows 10 Enterprise and Office 2016 as the new technology standard for Marriott-networked computers. This year, a new, annual update process which is designed to keep Marriott-networked computers and tablets running Windows 10 Enterprise current and secure will begin. This update will require computer or tablet downtime of 1-3 hours depending on the hardware age, and will involve multiple system restarts.
Beginning April 16, machines will start receiving notification to take action within 24 hours, and all computers or tablets should be updated by May 11. Users may delay the action two times prior to an automatic installation. Properties with many computers should work with system managers or franchise technology POCs prior to the automatic installation to coordinate the update process and reduce impacts from downtime.
