Franchise Management Companies | Moving forward, we will continue to provide a monthly recap of the key changes shared with – and tasks asked of – SPG branded hotels related to the integration. We appreciate your support in ensuring your hotels remain informed and engaged throughout this process.

Franchise management company contacts also have the opportunity to participate in twice monthly webinars which are held on the second and fourth Friday of each month at 2 p.m. ET. Stay tuned to the weekly mi360 RUNDOWN for details, which will be shared the week prior to each webinar.

New URL for The Check-In | If you have bookmarked The Check-In URL (for Weekly Update and/or Quarterly Game Plans), replace it with the new URL: https://mgscloud.marriott.com/thecheckin.
Q2 Game Plans | Properties should continue to review their brand-specific Q2 Game Plan for action items and upcoming webinars. Game Plan provides a preview of all actions and initiatives for the upcoming quarter inclusive of both enterprise-wide and brand-led work.
The Future of Loyalty | Marriott International announced it will introduce one set of unified benefits across Marriott Rewards, The Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) for its members in August 2018. This will create an incredibly rich hospitality loyalty program in which members will earn more points faster than under the prior programs. For more information, view the Press Release.
Power of Loyalty Training | All associates should access the Digital Learning Platform by May 7 to begin assigned Loyalty training. While training completion targets apply to Front Desk, it’s recommended that all associates on property take Loyalty Training in order to answer member questions and prepare for program changes in August. For additional details and visit the Loyalty 2018 MGS page. Training should be completed by June 4.
Marriott’s Photography/Video Standards, Technical Guidelines and Usage Rights Requirements | Photos or videos that do not comply with Marriott’s photography and videography requirements will not be used when SPG hotels migrate to Marriott’s Hotel Websites (HWS) on Aug. 1. To prepare for the migration, properties should review their photos located in the Starwood Asset Library (SAL) Image Compliance Report and submit replacement images in SAL for all images that do not comply with Marriott’s usage rights.
SPG Hotel Website Migration | On Aug. 1, SPG hotels will launch on Marriott International’s website platform, Hotel Websites (HWS) and Starwood’s Property Pages, Local Property Sites (LPS) and Property Pages Expanded (PPE) will be decommissioned. Properties may continue to update their LPS/PPE until Aug. 1, but must keep a record of any changes to edit their Standard or Elevated HWS on the launch date. Visit MGS for additional resources and FAQs.
Campaign Supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Now Available for SPG Properties | In 2017, Marriott International raised $6.3 million to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® (CMNH). This was achieved, in part, through an annual Aquafina Campaign (PepsiCo). SPG properties offering Pepsi products are invited to participate and may opt-in to receive a “Campaign Kit” by registering at http://marriott.childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org by May 13.
