New Tasks Added to “Get Ready: 2018 Integration” Land-It Tasklist
Franchise Management Companies | As hotels progress through integration activities, we want to provide important updates on milestones recently completed by SPG hotels, and key upcoming activities for both SPG and Marriott Rewards hotels.
SPG hotels should now have completed the readiness tasks for The Big Four | Platform Integration due through June 11*. As a reminder, these tasks were primarily focused on training and critical readiness activities. Critical milestones included:
- Due May 3: Identify the property Coach/Super User and submit the intake form for Revenue Management, Lightspeed PMS and Opera PMS workshops.
- Due June 4: Submit a completed Room Attribute Form and validated Rooms Master Tool, and complete the One Yield v2 Inventory Wizard to establish One Yield room types (applicable for Four Points, Le Meridien, W Hotels, Tribute, Sheraton in this Land-It tasklist).
- Due June 4: Complete Loyalty training and pass the learning assessment.
- Due May 21 (for properties attending the June 11 workshop), May 28 (for properties attending the June 18 workshop), or June 4 (for properties attending the June 25 workshop): Complete prerequisite Revenue Management training prior to attending Revenue Management workshop.
As we continue on the path toward go-live, the next set of tasks, including those due in June and July, has been pushed to SPG hotels via Land-It. It is important to remember that if a hotel is not able to transition with their brand because Land-It activities are not complete, the hotel will likely see an impact to revenue generation as they may not be available for sale across the Marriott channels. The hotel may also see an impact to the customer experience as the systems will not function as designed.
For details regarding your SPG hotels’ progress on integration tasks, refer to the Readiness Scorecard, which is sent to management company escalation contacts twice weekly. Using property data from Land-It, myLearning, and the Digital Learning Platform, the Readiness Scorecard measures progress on all readiness-related tasks and, along with the Franchise Escalation Process, helps keep SPG hotels on track.
As we progress toward the August Launch Day, both SPG and Marriott Rewards hotels have been pushed additional tasks to prepare to support these changes. On Launch Day,
- Marriott Rewards, The-Ritz Carlton Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) will be combined into one loyalty program with one set of benefits;
- Inventory will be available for sale across channels; and,
- EMPOWER: Guest Experiences will go live for all participating hotels to enable them to create unique, personal, and memorable experiences for guests.
Additional “Get Ready” Tasks and Milestones for SPG Hotels
On June 8, SPG hotels received the next set of tasks in their “Get Ready: 2018 Integration” Land-It task list. These tasks are intended to help SPG hotels prepare for Launch Day, as well as their respective Reservations Platform cutover dates later in the year. The deployment schedule by brand was shared with hotels via the June 12 Change Crew webinars. Cutover activities will consist of three weeks of activity before the go-live date as well as follow-up activities required in the days following go-live. In addition, as previously communicated, essential training will take place in the eight weeks before – and to a lesser degree in the eight weeks after – each brand’s go-live date.

Loyalty 2018 Tasks and Milestones for Marriott Rewards Hotels
A Loyalty 2018 tasklist was pushed to Marriott Rewards and Ritz-Carlton Rewards hotels on June 8. This tasklist replaces the “Rewards: Coach Submission” project and was designed to ensure hotels only have a single Rewards-related project, can maintain their current Rewards Coaches, and Loyalty program tasks pushed in April 2018 remain in the same tasklist as the new tasks pushed on June 8. Key activities included in this tasklist will help hotels plan for and complete the Phase 2 Loyalty training and GXP training. The milestone tasks for Marriott Rewards hotels in July, leading up to Launch Day, along with their corresponding due dates, are as follows:
- Due July 3: All associates with an EID should access the Digital Learning Platform and select their function(s).
- Due July 19: Hotels must confirm associates have completed appropriate training in the Digital Learning Platform (note: training will be available beginning June 26).
Timing & Next Steps
As hotels continue to prepare for integration, the next phase of training will be assigned via the Digital Learning Platform on June 26. Additional details regarding Launch Day activities, including the specific date for Launch Day in August, will be communicated in mid-July.
