Launch Day Readiness Activities
On Aug. 18, the Loyalty, EMPOWER: Guest Experiences (GXP), Mobile and Channels deployments will be implemented. The following next steps and reminders are being shared with hotels via the Aug. 13 Weekly Update to help them prepare for Launch Day.
Important Reminders for Launch Day Readiness:
- Ensure associates in the six highly impacted functions (Front Office, Sales, Events Management, Revenue Management, Finance and Property Leaders) complete training in the Digital Learning Platform (DLP). Webinars will be offered on Wednesday and Thursday for hotels needing assistance.
- Ensure associates have the latest resources available on the MGS, including Launch Day talking points and job aids that demonstrate how to activate Loyalty benefits in GXP and PMS, and view the Readiness webinar recordings from Aug. 8 & 9. Additional topics have been added to Pre-Shift Meeting Training Reinforcement materials.
- View Land-It for all Launch Day-related tasks, including confirming receipt of the drop-shipment, which is due Aug. 16.
Marketing Updates:
Please note, most SPG Loyalty Member Marketing Communications will be suspended between Aug. 15 and Sept. 10 except major communications around Launch Day, Credit Cards and Moments Live. There will also be no SPG August eStatement to focus members’ attention on their new benefits and combining Loyalty accounts. Email Channels@marriott.com with questions.
Elite Referral Program Updates:
On Aug. 18, the Elite Referral Program will expand to SPG hotels and align across Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards. The combined program will allow all hotels to provide Elite status to drive. View MGS for a full overview including policy details, annual quotas and how it works.
