Franchise Management Companies | Below is a recap of the key changes shared with – and tasks asked of – SPG branded hotels related to the integration this month. We appreciate your support in ensuring your hotels remain informed and engaged throughout this process.

As part of our continued effort to keep hotels informed, SPG hotels will continue to receive weekly email content via The Check-In, and Change Crews will have the opportunity to participate in bi-weekly webinars. The Change Crew webinars will be held every other Tuesday through April 2, 2019. Properties continue to receive details and registration information via the Weekly Update.

Franchise management company contacts also have the opportunity to participate in twice-monthly webinars which are held on the second and fourth Friday of each month at 2 p.m. ET. Stay tuned to the weekly mi360 RUNDOWN for details, which will be shared the week prior to each webinar.

Welcome to Marriott Bonvoy™; Prepare for Activation on Feb. 13 | On Jan. 16, the new Loyalty Brand for the entire portfolio, Marriott Bonvoy™, was announced. Encourage GMs to review and complete the new tasks added to the Loyalty 2019 Land-It tasklist to prepare for activation.

More information is available on MGS. There are several sub-pages including Implementation, Member Communications, Shipments & Collateral, and Tools and Resources. Share the resources with your hotel teams (including the Marriott Bonvoy Brand Launch video). 

Prepare for Retirement of Starwood Executive Traveler ID (SET IDs) On March 31 | Cluster Codes will be used moving forward for booking corporate negotiated rates. Distribute new Cluster Codes to corporate customers still using SET IDs by March 31 to avoid any booking disruptions. Work with your Revenue Manager to identify Cluster Codes for any local accounts that need to book through an internet channel.

2019 Loyalty Enrollment Goals Now Available | Continue to maximize results by enrolling everyone and review Enrollment Best Practices with your team. Enrollment incentives for Q4 2018 will be paid out by March 2019.

Continue to focus on overall member satisfaction, with an emphasis on driving Elite appreciation, consistently delivering on-property benefits and recognizing members on stays that matter the most to them.

Marriott’s Best Rate Guarantee (BRG) Program Update | Starwood’s Best Rate Guarantee and Marriott’s Look No Further programs officially merged in 2018. The combined program will now be known as Marriott’s Best Rate Guarantee. Updates to guest systems, reservation systems and marriott.com to reflect the new name are in progress and will be completed by the end of February.
