Starwood Executive Traveler ID (SET IDs) to be Retired March 31

Travelers use the ‘Starwood Executive Traveler ID,’ also referred to as ‘SET ID,’ to book corporate negotiated rates at SPG hotels. Before the Reservations Platform transition, SET IDs for deployed accounts were mapped to Cluster Codes to enable rates to be booked across Marriott Rewards and SPG hotels.

Now that all SPG hotels are on the Marriott ecosystem, SET IDs will be retired at the end of Q1 2019 and Cluster Codes will be used moving forward for booking across the Marriott portfolio. After Q1 2019, the backend functionality for SET IDs will be retired. Click here see the instructions for identifying or requesting new Cluster Codes and a template letter for on-property Sales teams to use with customers.

Note: this information has been shared via email with SPG GMs and sales coaches, and will be included in the Jan. 21 Weekly Update. We are communicating now to ensure that associates and customers take action to ensure there is no impact when that functionality is turned off.
