- Wholesale Distribution Solution
- Marriott has launched an industry-first Wholesale Distribution Solution in collaboration with Expedia Partner Solutions, or EPS. This new solution will be the exclusive global redistributor of Marriott’s wholesale rates and availability to a network of global travel partners. The Wholesale Distribution Solution will drive long-term profitability for hotels, provide customers with a dependable experience, protect the integrity and value of Marriott brands, and enhance Marriott’s competitive positioning in the hotel marketplace.
- Properties, owners, and franchisees were notified of the Wholesale Distribution Solution on September 17, 2019.
- Properties must complete the pre-work of reviewing and loading rate offers, and terminating applicable redistribution contracts.
- The Wholesale Distribution Solution will launch on October 15, 2019.

- September Stabilization Update
- With the large-scale systems integration complete, stabilization efforts this past year focused on solving technical and process-related issues, enhancing core system capabilities, and reinforcing best practices through webinars, workshops, and training.
- Recent wins include deploying solutions to known issues in LightSpeed, EMPOWER Reservations, Consolidated Inventory (CI), and Loyalty, implementing enhancements to EMPOWER: Guest Experiences (GXP), and continuing to drive One Yield adoption through webinars, workshops, and tools.

- Off-Peak and Peak Redemption Rates Launch Update
- Marriott International introduced a new award redemption chart that incorporates Off-Peak and Peak point redemption rates, helping drive redemptions when hotels need them most.
- Key Dates include:
- September 13: General Managers needed to submit the Activation Certification Form included with the Land-It tasklist as confirmation that the hotel has completed all tasks required for successful program implementation.
- September 14: Marriott Bonvoy successfully launched Off-Peak and Peak rates; this means that redemption levels are now visible to all members and all is working as intended. The new point redemption rates are fully integrated into the shop & book experience on Marriott.com and the Marriott Bonvoy™ App.
- October 4: Redemption levels will take effect and Off-Peak and Peak rates will begin.
- October 19: The Off-Peak and Peak algorithm will update for the first time. During the update, some peak, standard, and off-peak dates may change. This algorithm refresh will occur monthly going forward.

- Stewardship Report
- The Stewardship Report is now available providing performance reporting for multiple stakeholders. The report provides a quick year-to-date snapshot of relevant Revenue Management, Channel Distribution, Loyalty Penetration, Sales and Marketing data points.
- This report replaces the SPG Stewardship Report that was heavily used in the Franchise/Owner community and solves a gap previously in holistic reporting on performance.

Upgrade to Windows 10 and Office 2016 Effective Sept. 30, associates using a Marriott-imaged PC or tablet running the Windows 7 Operating System (including a MAC virtual machine) that has not yet been upgraded to Windows 10, will be blocked from the Marriott network shortly after the Sept. 30 deadline. Additionally, associates that are using a Marriott-provided email (@marriott.com or @brand.com) and have not upgraded to Office 2016 will lose Outlook access from their desktop to Marriott email. |

Prepare for Brightcove Video Migration (former SPG Hotels) Marriott has negotiated a new agreement with Brightcove and will be migrating all videos that are ADA compliant with proper usage rights to new accounts through Sept. 30. Effective Oct. 1, current URLs will become inactive and non-compliant and in-active videos will be archived. Once videos are archived, they can be reactivated with proper compliance documentation. |

Complete Chip and Pin Device Ordering and Property Information Survey by Oct. 4 As part of pre-deployment, GMs must complete the Device Ordering and Property Information Survey by Oct. 4. On Aug. 28 GMs received a direct email with login information and details to complete the survey. Hotels also received a Land-It tasklist with the link to the survey and additional steps to complete as part of pre-deployment. |
