Legacy SPG Hotels: QuickGroup Implementation Now Available
This information will be provided to hotels via the Jan. 27 edition of the Weekly Update.
Franchise Management Companies of former SPG Hotels in the U.S. and Canada | As communicated within the September Integration Update, the deployment of QuickGroup, which is a small group and meeting solution located on Marriott.com, was delayed due to imminent LightSpeed fixes. We are now prepared to deploy QuickGroup to legacy SPG hotels, which will drive value for both hotels and customers.
QuickGroup allows customers to book:
- a block of 10 to 25 group sleeping rooms at participating hotels in the U.S. and Canada
- meeting space for up to 50 attendees at participating hotels in the U.S. and Canada
QuickGroup with Sleeping Rooms
QuickGroup with Sleeping Rooms is a brand standard and is available for Aloft, Four Points, and Element hotels in the U.S. and Canada. QuickGroup participation is already a brand standard for AC Hotels, Moxy, Courtyard, Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Springhill Suites, and TownePlace Suites hotels in the U.S. and Canada.
All full service hotels are strongly encouraged to participate, as long as they meet the prerequisites of a Marriott Sales System (CI/SFAWeb/OneSource) and Pricing system (CI/TY, OneYield/GPO, or MARSHA/HPP/GRAM). Legacy SPG full service brands can request participation and will be activated on a first come, first serve basis starting January 2020.
QuickGroup with Event Space
QuickGroup with Sleeping Rooms is a required prerequisite to participating in QuickGroup with Event Space. All hotels with a meeting room are encouraged to take advantage of this resource.
Benefits of QuickGroup Participation
Through December 2019, top performing MSB brands actualized between $10K – $22K per hotel in incremental revenue while top performing full service brands actualized between $14K – $39K per hotel in incremental revenue by utilizing QuickGroup.
- No cost to join/use this product; there is only a 6% fee on booked revenue
- All QuickGroup products have an average booking window within 90 days; the booking is cleaned by the QuickGroup Response Team in Omaha, turned definite, and turned over to the property
- Hotels (and customers) have until 6:00 p.m. of the following business day to decline a booking if necessary. This is in place because this channel bypasses sales/further qualification via voice channel and relies on the Revenue Management strategy/availability.
Activation requests and/or questions can be directed to QuickGroup@Marriott.com. Encourage your hotels to participate, and visit MGS for resources including Frequently Asked Questions to ensure QuickGroup activation is successful.
