Unauthorized Devices Connected to the Marriott Network

As part of ongoing efforts to ensure the security of the Marriott network, Marriott’s iT security tools regularly scan the Marriott network to identify unauthorized devices. Typically, these are vendor owned and/or operated device(s) that are not authorized to be connected to the Marriott network. As such, these devices should be removed from the network in accordance with the IT-SEC-017 End User Computing Devices brand standard.

If an unauthorized device is detected at one of your properties, the property will be notified by Marriott’s Global Information Security team. In order to remain compliant with Marriott brand standard IT-SEC-017 End User Computing Devices, we will request that hotels work with their local Franchise Technology POC or  Service Provider to remove the identified device(s) from the Marriott network within 30 days. If they do not take action on the identified device(s), access to the Marriott network for the device(s) could be blocked.

Should you have any questions, contact secure@marriott.com.  Thank you in advance for your support and assistance in complying with Marriott’s standards and protecting the Marriott network.
