Marriott Organizational Announcement | Tina Edmundson Named Global Brand Officer & Luxury Portfolio Leader
Effective February 1, Tina Edmundson will take on a new role as Global Brand Officer & Luxury Portfolio Leader for Marriott International. In this expanded role, Tina will continue to report to Stephanie Linnartz and will have oversight of Marriott’s global portfolio of 30 brands.
The Marriott International Luxury Brand Group is now the largest collection of luxury hotel brands in the world, and Tina will focus on their strategic vision and direction, as well as cultivating both their capabilities and external reputation. In this new role, Tina will also work to build and nurture relationships with key luxury customers, media, and industry executives, as well as support the growth of luxury brand distribution. She will partner with Herve Humler, who will continue to provide consultation and advisement on luxury brand portfolio opportunities throughout in 2018 in his role as Chairman Emeritus, The Ritz-Carlton.
Tina has a broad and extensive career in the hospitality industry. She joined Marriott International in 2008 and has held numerous leadership roles within the Brand organization. She was named Global Brand Officer in 2016. Prior to Marriott, Tina held numerous leadership roles with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, including serving as a General Manager at the Westin Philadelphia and SVP, Brand Operations for Starwood’s Luxury and Lifestyle division.
