Human Rights Training Compliance

Franchise Management Companies | As previously communicated, all training required in 2018 for Marriott Rewards and SPG hotels is now available in the “Build a Learning Plan” tool, which is accessible via MGS myPDR, and myLearning, or directly via Build a Learning Plan.

As part of these requirements, Human Rights Training is also to be completed by both Managed by Marriott and franchise properties. SPG hotels are now included within this requirement and must complete their training by Dec. 31, 2018. Marriott has made available the myLearning training, “Your Role in Preventing Human Trafficking: Recognize the Signs” (#551161), which is free to all associates, available in 15 languages, and also offered as classroom training (#551176). Alternatively, franchise properties may also complete external trainings in lieu of the myLearning training should they wish to do so. Examples of these trainings include:

If your hotel(s) have completed external human rights training, they are instructed to follow these steps in myLearning to ensure correct recording of completed training. Given that the completion of human rights training is required, compliance with reporting the completed training is critical. For more information on human rights training, visit MGS.
