November Monthly Recap | Marriott Rewards Hotels

In an effort to ensure all hotels continue to receive support related to the integration, GMs and Change Champions at Marriot rewards hotels now receive weekly email content via The Check-In.

Key integration messages this month include:

Details to Explore Rate Changes | Effective Jan. 17, 2018, we will launch harmonized Explore Rates for Marriott Rewards and SPG hotels. These new rates have been grouped by brand segment to provide consistency across Marriott’s 6,000+ properties worldwide. For details on Revenue Management business processes, including how Explore rates are established, visit the RM Processes MGS page. And, don’t forget, you can save even more during Explore More, Nov. 20 – Jan. 15. Explore More booking began Nov. 1. Download the updated flyer to share with associates. For SPG properties,  visit www.starwoodhotels.com/exploreMM4; for Marriott Rewards properties, use code MM4 in the Corporate/Promotional box to book the Explore More rate.

PepsiCo Renewal of Partnership – SPG Hotels to Migrate to PepsiCo | Marriott International is renewing their partnership with PepsiCo for all Marriott brands and migrating SPG properties to PepsiCo. Autograph Collection hotels will continue under their existing agreements in the near term. Marriott is in the process of finalizing the new agreement at this time and we will share details of the new agreement, including anticipated cost savings, once it has been finalized.

Prepare for Changes to Marriott Travel Professionals and Meeting Planner Discount Rates | On Jan. 2, current discount rates offered to travel agents and meeting planners booking with Marriott will change. Marriott’s Travel Industry discount rate will be retired and replaced with two programs: a Travel Agent discount rate and an Airline Leisure Program (currently in use at SPG Brands), which will be available to deployed Airline accounts. We will also be changing SPG Pro program benefits. Details are available in the Talking Points; we encourage you to review these in the event you receive questions from any SPG Pro members.
